Je tenais à témoigner pour vous faire part de mon combat et de l aide que j ai pu trouver loin de chez moi.Suite  à une infection nosocomiale contractée lors d une intervention chirurgicale en France, suite à une intervention ORL, j ai dû me battre pendant 2 ans afin de bénéficier d une biopsie pour enfin mettre en évidence la réalité de mes maux.   Suite à cela et après plus de 5 ans  d’antibiothérapie et plusieurs  interventions ,pour mettre fin à cette infection  et devant l echec des traitements sur ces infections chroniques ,je me suis tournée vers la Phagotherapie . Après une opération du genou et la pose d’une prothèse semi compartimentale, j’ai été infecté par un staphylocoque doré extrêmement virulent et je me suis retrouvé en choc septique en 48 heures.
J’ai été de nouveau opéré pour changer la prothèse et nettoyer profondément le genou suivi d’une bithérapie d’antibiotiques très forts pendant 3 mois et demi.
Après un mois de répit, l’infection est repartie.

Mon infectiologue me recommandait qu’il fallait que je reste à proximité d’un hôpital car l’infection pouvaient revenir et que je pouvais être en choc septique très vite.
Mon chirurgien voulait de nouveau ouvrir mon genou au bout de 3 mois, pour vérifier si il subsistait de l’infection et faire un nouveau nettoyage.
Après avoir demandé plusieurs avis externes, je lui ai dit que je voulais attendre pour voir, je pensais que ce n’était pas une bonne solution à terme et un nouveau risque de contamination.
Le traitement antibiotique semblait inefficace et m’épuisait, mon staphylocoque résistait, le médecin conseil de ma mutuelle m’a d’ailleurs écrit qu’il donnait un avis défavorable au remboursement de mon traitement d’antibiotiques car il ne marchait pas, la double peine !
Nous avions entendu parler de la phagothérapie, un ami avait été sauvé d’une amputation en 2020 par ce traitement en venant en Géorgie.
Nous en avons donc parlé au chirurgien et à l’infectiologue, ils ont émis les plus grandes réserves, en fait ils ne connaissaient pas …
Quand j’avais parlé des phages à mon infectiologue, il avait réagi vivement et m’avait répondu que si j’allais en Géorgie faire une phagothérapie je prenais de gros risques et qu’il n’y croyait pas, j’ai senti qu’il ne voudrait plus s’occuper de moi si je le faisais.
J’ai d’autant moins compris que le traitement par phages est complémentaire des antibiotiques, qu’ils peuvent se compléter et agir en synergie, que les effets secondaires des antibiotiques sont eux très importants ce qui n’est pas le cas avec les phages.
Mais un autre contact avec un médecin militaire nous a dit qu’il y croyait, que les risques ne lui semblaient pas réels et que nous devrions le tenter…
Après mure réflexion, j’ai décidé de me rendre en Géorgie pour prendre un traitement, sans en parler avec mon infectiologue ni mon chirurgien compte tenu de leurs réactions négatives.

Je ne prends aucun autres traitement que des compléments alimentaires et des vitamines pour me remettre des effets secondaires du traitement antibiotiques à longue durée.
Cela fait plus 6 mois, je vais très bien et que je n’ai plus refait de septicémie, mes analyses sont bonnes, j’ai repris du poids et mon genou ne me fait plus mal, je marche sans problème, plus de 7 à 8 kms par jours, quel bonheur !
Quand j’ai revu mon Chirurgien  il y a 2 mois pour lui dire que je ne voulais pas me faire de nouveau opéré pour le moment, à la vue de mes  bonnes analyses et radios il m’a confirmé que ce n’était pas nécessaire, qu’on verrai dans 6 mois mais il ne m’a posé aucune question sur les phages…
Bien m’en a pris de ne pas les avoir écouté et d’avoir fait ladite phagothérapie.

Diagnosed with a Staphylococcus aureus infection in my elbow following a motorcycle accident, after undergoing 36 surgeries under general anesthesia and right before facing amputation in France, I discovered phage therapy and “Healing in Georgia.” They helped me organize my stay, medical appointments, provided an interpreter, translated my medical records, and more. After a knee operation, I was infected with golden staphylococcus. After years of antibiotics, nothing could treat it. Worse, this staphylococcus was very “virulent” and I had several bouts of septicemia. My infectious disease doctor confirmed that I needed to stay close to a hospital as the septicemia could return very quickly and I could die within 24 hours. So, I had no other option but to try phages! After a knee operation and the installation of a semi-compartmental prosthesis, I was infected by an extremely virulent golden staphylococcus and ended up in septic shock within 48 hours.

My surgeon wanted to open my knee again after 3 months to check for any remaining infection and perform another cleaning.
After seeking several external opinions, I told him that I wanted to wait and see. I felt that this wasn’t a long-term solution and there was a new risk of contamination.
The antibiotic treatment seemed ineffective and was wearing me out; my staphylococcus was resistant. The consulting physician from my health insurance wrote to me stating that he had a negative opinion about reimbursing my antibiotic treatment as it wasn’t working, adding insult to injury!
We had heard about phage therapy; a friend had been saved from amputation in 2020 by this treatment by going to Georgia.
So, we discussed it with the surgeon and the infectious disease doctor, who expressed serious reservations, in fact, they didn’t know much about it…
When I mentioned phages to my infectious disease doctor, he reacted strongly and told me that if I went to Georgia for phage therapy, I was taking a big risk and he didn’t believe in it. I sensed that he wouldn’t want to take care of me anymore if I did so.
I was all the more puzzled because phage treatment complements antibiotics, they can work together and act synergistically. The side effects of antibiotics are very significant, which isn’t the case with phages.

J’ai 43 ans et je suis atteint de mucoviscidose, colonisé par le pyocianique depuis mes 9 ans. Non seulement j’ai trouvé un traitement bien au-delà de mes attentes mais j’ai aussi rencontré un peuple chaleureux et bienveillant.

I am delighted to share my experience with phage therapy. For 5 years, I had a urinary tract infection that caused me a lot of pain and discomfort, but no treatment or doctor could alleviate it. Mon fils Eric, 22 ans, est autiste. Suite à une phagothérapie en Géorgie, il va plutôt bien, il a refait dernièrement des analyses du microbiote intestinal , on peut dire que les phages on carrément FAIT LE MÉNAGE! plus la moindre trace de bactéries indésirables, une flore intestinale abondante et absolument normale. Eric n’a plus aucune douleur ni dans la tête ni dans le ventre, il supporte bien tout ce qui est lumière, son, prendre une douche n’est plus un soucis (l’eau ne ressemble plus à de l’acide), bref, un confort de vie qu’il ne connaissait pas. Depuis un mois il a réintroduit le gluten peu à peu dans son alimentation, et actuellement il ne s’impose plus de restriction particulière, sauf pour le lactose, et il fait très attention aux oxalates.

Aged 69 and diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1992, treated with Interferon, I had frequent urinary tract infections sometimes treated blindly.
This likely led to the selection of a multidrug-resistant Klebsiella Pneumoniae strain that I had been carrying in my urinary tract since 2014.
All conventional antibiotic treatments were attempted as prescribed by infectious disease specialists at the Croix-Rousse Hospital or the urologist at Lyon Sud Hospital, including infusions lasting up to 3 weeks, Garches Protocol, and more.
All these treatments failed after brief improvements, and I suffered from chronic cystitis, which triggered unbearable pain requiring strong pain medication day and night.
As a bacteriologist and former Head of Service at ANNONAY Hospital Center, I knew that no conventional treatment would eradicate this bacterium, which posed the risk of kidney damage or even septicemia in the long run.

– Oral intake of a specifically developed autophage preparation based on my strain of Klebsiella Pneumoniae, both in the morning and evening.

– Urinary and vaginal bacteriological tests.
After a week of treatment, my pain quickly disappeared, and I was able to gradually stop the powerful pain medication.
A cytobacteriological control showed the absence of Klebsiella after 8 days.
Back in France, I continued the oral treatment for 1 month, and subsequent tests confirmed the sterility of my urine to this day.
After three years of failed conventional antibiotic therapy, these results are extraordinary!

Depuis 2 ans et demi que j’ai fait une phagothérapie, tout va bien et je ne prends plus d’antibiotiques.

Âgée de 69 ans et atteinte de Sclérose en Plaques diagnostiquée en 1992, traitée à l’Interféron, j’avais de fréquentes infections urinaires parfois traitées à l’aveugle .
Ceci a été vraisemblablement à l’origine de la sélection d’une Klebsiella Pneumoniae multirésistante dont j’étais porteuse au niveau urinaire depuis 2014
Tous les traitements antibiotiques classiques ont été tentés sur prescription d’infectiologues de l’ Hôpital de la Croix-Rousse ou de l’urologue à l’Hôpital Lyon Sud, dont des  perfusions sur des durées allant jusqu’à 3 semaines, Protocole de Garches etc…
Tous ces traitements ont échoué après de brèves améliorations et je souffrais de cystites chroniques qui déclenchaient des douleurs insupportables nécessitant un puissant traitement antidouleur de jour et de nuit.
Bactériologiste, ancien Chef de service au Centre Hospitalier d’ ANNONAY, je savais qu’aucun traitement conventionnel n’éradiquerait ce germe qui, à terme, laissait peser le risque d’une atteinte rénale voire d’une septicémie .

-réunion de tous les médecins intervenants (urologue, gynécologue, neurologue, infectiologue ) : consultations qui duraient parfois jusqu’à une heure au cours desquelles était pris en compte la globalité des problèmes du patient et non seulement la pathologie décrite ,
-absorption orale, matin et soir, d’une préparation d’autophage mise au point spécifiquement à partir de ma souche de Klébsiella Pneumoniae,
-instillation urétrale d’une autre préparation d’autophage,
-examen clinique complet ,
-échographie, radiographie ,
-examens bactériologiques urinaires et vaginaux.
Après une semaine de traitement , mes douleurs ont rapidement disparu et j’ai pu arrêter progressivement les  puissants traitements antidouleur .
Un contrôle cytobactériologique a montré l’absence de la Klebsielle au bout de 8 jours.
De retour en France, j’ai consolidé le traitement par voie orale pendant 1 mois et des contrôles ont confirmé la stérilité de mes urines jusqu’à ce jour .
Après 3 ans d’échec thérapeutique par antibiothérapie conventionnelle , ces résultats sont extraordinaires !

I am 43 years old and have been suffering from cystic fibrosis, colonized by Pseudomonas aeruginosa since the age of 9. Not only have I found a treatment far beyond my expectations, but I have also encountered a warm and caring community.

3/Il a été l’intermédiaire efficace avec le Centre Elavia pour activer la transmission entre le service comptable qui reçoit le réglement, les services logistique et médical.( Souche de staphylocoque adressée le 23 juillet, traitement phagique reçu le 2 septembre 2024 avec 2 jours de retards imprévus à l’aéroport Charles de Gaule….
Nous sommes en cette période de Noël à deux mois et demi après le traitement et tout s’est bien passé.
Une autre difficulté a été de faire le traitement sans que le corps médical soit au courant, ne voulant pas apparaitre comme un complotiste comme dans la période Covid avec la vaccination scandaleuse forcée avec de l’ARN messager notamment sans aucun égard aux femmes enceintes…. Mon infectiologue me confirmait qu’il fallait que je reste à proximité d’un hôpital car les septicémies pouvaient revenir très rapidement et que je pouvais y passer en 24h. Donc, je n’avais pas d’autre solution que de tenter les phages !
